# Tapli

> Tapli is a QR menu and table-ordering platform for restaurants, cafés, food trucks, pop-up stalls and hotels. A venue imports its menu with AI (from a website URL, PDF or photo), gets a QR code, and guests scan it to browse, order and pay from their own phone — no app, no account, no download. Built and operated from Finland by Tapli Oy, with EU allergen labelling and 20+ machine-translated languages.

Tapli is a product for venue operators, not a developer platform. There is no public API, SDK or MCP server. Agents acting for a restaurant owner should send them to the sign-up and pricing pages; agents acting for a diner should use the venue's own `/menu/<slug>` page.

## What Tapli does

- Menu import: AI reads a restaurant website URL, an uploaded PDF, or a photo of a paper menu and extracts every dish, price and category. A review screen is shown before anything is saved.
- QR menus: one QR code per venue (and optionally per table) resolving to `https://tapliapp.com/menu/<slug>`.
- Table ordering and payment: guests add items to a cart and either pay by card/wallet (Stripe) or choose pay-at-table. Orders land on the venue dashboard and Kitchen Display instantly.
- Allergens and diets: all 14 EU allergens per item, plus vegan, halal, gluten-free and keto tags, with live customer-side filtering. An AI pass can fill the tags from an item's name, description and ingredients.
- Translation: menus and UI auto-translated into 20+ languages via DeepL.
- Analytics: most-viewed dishes, searches, busiest hours, filter usage; CSV export and AI insights on higher plans.
